Wacky Hair Wednesday!

Anchorage Park had Wacky Hair Wednesday to raise money for children with cancer. We wore mufti and had crazy hair, wigs or silly hats. We had so much fun!

Rose Anne had some silver glitter hairspray that some people wanted as a reward for great work. Peni and India wanted sparkly hair, Matt and Wilson had wigs, India had a big yellow bow and Senele and Opi wore cool mufti.

we are heroes!

We have been practising our fine motor skills by colouring in superheroes. We have been using a special app on the iPads to make our pictures come alive. We can even take a selfie with our superhero, we like doing superhero poses!

Superhero Dancing

We are learning how to move like a superhero in dance because our topic this term has been all about heroes. We are getting so good at our dances Sarah hardly has to tell us what to do!

One of our favourite activities to do after dancing

is using a lycra sheet to bounce Sarah's little fish, we need to keep them on the sheet. We love the zombie fish best!

Happy Birthday Senele

Senele celebrated his 11th birthday with us by bringing in a delicious cake and lollies to share with his friends.  He had a fantastic time and did a great job handing out the lollies and balloons. We all had a fantastic time.

Thank you for letting us celebrate your birthday with you.

The boys in our class have made up some new games and they are doing a great job playing with each other, turn taking, waiting and being kind to others! Well done boys!

The Snake Cake

We have been reading 'The Snake Cake' together and on Tuesday we made our own 'snake cake' out of biscuits, jam and icing.
We had to sequence the recipe cards into the right order to make our cake then follow them. Our cake was very nice!

PMP

We have been doing PMP (a perceptual motor programme) in the school hall and we are having lots of fun! There are new activities this year and they are great for helping us to learn. We have to listen carefully to find out what to do for each activity; we have been skipping, crawling, throwing, aiming, jumping and balancing!

What a cool day!

Last Thursday we had a great day with a special treat.  In the morning we had PMP with room 2 and did all sorts of activities to improve our perceptual motor skills, later we had dance and Sarah brought out some lycra to play a game. It was so much fun and we loved trying to keep the monkeys on the sheet.

In the afternoon room 10 came along to sing to us in Samoan, we all loved it and thought they did a great job! We will be writing thank you letters this week.
